Cloud ComputingIf you want to run standard software then our core Online50 service will provide what you need. If you want to run other software, or if you want to manage your own computer, then our Elastic Computing Platform™ (ECP) allows you to do that. You pay a monthly fee for the capacity you need. As you'd expect from Online50 you benefit from calendar monthly terms and the ability to change your subscription whenever you need to. You can manage your own Elastic Computer, or you can ask us to manage it for you (for an additional modest monthly fee). You can install your own software licences or, if you don't have suitable licences, we can supply the software to you for a monthly fee as well. |
Computing on Demand
Our Elastic Computing Platform™ (ECP) gives you a flexible infrastructure for computing capacity on demand. You choose the amount of capacity you need in your Elastic Computer and pay by monthly subscription. You can use the Elastic Computer to run virtually any software. Your Elastic Computer runs in our fully managed and secure data centres. You connect to your computer over the Internet.
When you are an accountant with clients running their accounting systems on the main Online50 platform the ECP is especially attractive. You can run software on the ECP that it would not be possible to run on the shared Online50 platform. Howebver as the ECP is hosted on the same secure network it is possible to arrange a level of integration of your Elastic Computer with the Online50 service. This means that your software can access client data where appropriate.
For example:
- Read live client data into forecasting or reporting software
- Load your clients' Trial Balances straight into accounts production software
