Microsoft Office Online

When you subscribe to Microsoft Office on the Online50 platform you can access your Microsoft Office software and documents from anywhere.

And because the system is hosted it means that your colleagues can all access the same documents in the same centralised file system, from anywhere, whenever they need access. You can use Microsoft Office from wherever you need it and you can integrate in real time with key company data sources, such as your accounts data, no matter where you are.

When you use the Online50 platform to access Microsoft Office you can be confident that your access and data are completely secure. Working on our platform does not expose your data to loss in the same way as copying the data onto a laptop or a memory stick does. The Online50 platfrom also ensures that all users can see the same data in real time on the same shared file system - even allowing live links to data being updated by someone else in the company.

This is the kind of freedom and resilience you get with Microsoft Office Online. You simply log on to our systems using your web browser from any computer to which you have access. Many of our users create management information packs in Excel that have real time access to their accounts data using an ODBC link. By clicking the 'Refresh Data' button in Excel they get an up to the second view of the state of their business.

What's Included

Users who subscribe to Microsoft Office on the Online50 platform have access to Microsoft Office Enterprise that includes the following applications:

For a further license fee we can include other Microsft application software, such as Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project and others.

Please Note: This includes the license fees payable for Outlook, but it does not include any fees for receiving email onto our hosted platform. Users that subscribe to Microsoft Office will be able to use Microsoft Outlook to send Email (including from other applications, such as Sage 50 accounts) but need to pay an additional fee if they want to have all of their incoming emails hosted on our platform. Please also see Hosted Exchange.

Microsoft OfficeLicensing Details

Microsoft license their application software by individual user (real person) and so each person that wants to run a part of the Microsoft Office suite will need to pay a license, regardless of how many of them want to use the software at the same time.

Microsoft recognise certain licenses as being 'assignable'. If you have an assignable license (which normally means that you have purchased the license under a qualifying Microsoft volume license agreement) then, subject to completion of the necessary paperwork, we are able to provide you with hosted Microsoft Office without charging you a license fee. OEM licenses, which are the most common type of Office license and come pre-installed with computer systems, are not assignable.
